A recent scientific research by Mindlab International, states that playing music in the office has a great number of positive benefits. Employees who listen to music have a greater level of engagement, morale, and overall productivity increase. Playing music in the workplace can improve employee health and can make people more accurate in planning and execution.

The same survey also found that 61% of the individuals who listened to music at the workplace were happier, not just at work, but with life in general.

According to The Telegraph study, employees who are in different positions increased their productivity depending on the types of music they listened to. As per the study, Classical music helped workers doing math problems improve their accuracy by 12%, Pop music helped Data-entry workers work 58% faster while listening to pop music and dance music helped workers increase their proofreading speed by 20%.

If you plan to play music through speakers, make sure the employees are comfortable with the song list. And if your customers can hear the music, you need to make sure it is appropriate away from being offensive or distracting.
